The job
The Logistic Manager accomplish and oversee the Logistics departments, manage the operations, warehousing, inventory, and supply chain from Italy to the U.S.

Main Activities:
His/her main activities are:
  • Managing planning, inventory control, forecasting, warehousing, and operations.
  • Developing, designing, evaluating, and fine-tuning business strategies designed to improve and maximize efficiencies and cost savings related to the logistic management, including developing analytics, systems, and data management capabilities and reports.
  • Liaising with and providing direction to store managers in areas related to logistic management. 
  • Collaborating with other departments’ senior management and decision makers to share information, solve problems, and clarify management objectives.
  • Developing and overseeing adherence to the company’s logistic budget.  Setting and reviewing budgets and managing costs in concert with the financial department and the Italian headquarters.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the local US logistic suppliers.
  • Supervising the work of individuals engaged in logistics and operations.
  • Managing relationships and negotiations with local logistic partners.
  • Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods.
  • Approving transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.

Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistic field or equivalent
  • Three to five years related experience with high-end design companies

Technical and Soft skills:
  • Team and Time Management
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, QuickBooks and other webbased software
  • Client Servicing and Customer Service skills
 
Work location:  Miami, availability for business trips is required.
